Matthew J Shaw/Nov 09
If you get a chance to see these guys, grab it! It’s something you wont regret, its so refreshing to see a band who are themselves, not just trying to carbon copy a band they like, but using their own ideas, experiences, emotions and above all talent to develop themselves into a truly stunning band…

Hobble on the Cobbles/Aug 09
"... I have witnessed some unsigned bands who are technically brilliant musicians, but have no stage performance. I have to say TR8R have both in abundance! From the moment they went on the stage to the enthusiastic crowd they flew around the platform during their set. They were full of energy and looked like they were having the best time of their lives!
Their performance had nothing to do with age... some of the older bands could learn a thing or two about TR8R..."

Lemonrock/May 09
" This original pop/rock track shows shed loads of promise, both as songwriters and performers... there's vibrant energy crouching behind every lyrical wave Vicky rides out on.
If you like your rock right-between-the-eyes, slightly retro (think Blondie meets the Arctic Monkeys, with nuances of The Knack in those guitar riffs), and hugely original, give this band your full attention, and, seeing as how you love live music, why not pop along to show your support when they're playing next." The New Roxette/Feb 09
"...TR8R, despite diminutive years, have fit in quite a lot over the
last few months... They formed as TR8R in May 2008, in the sleepy town
of Chesham, but before that the boys in the band had honed their skills
at pub gigs, admirably playing great covers from 'Rocks Rich Oeuvre',
written by men around twice their age..."

Introducing TR8R
As a band TR8R’s influences are as wide as they are broad, their style reflects this, although they definitely have a unique sound which makes them "TR8R". If asked to categorise their style, it leans towards Indie Rock/Pop. Mikey adds an indie driven guitar edge to their music which captivates and excites audiences wherever they perform. George and Conor work brilliantly together to form an ultra tight back–line and Vicky’s vocals are the icing on the cake, clear, concise, and with superbly structured melodies.
TR8R - The Early Days
TR8R were formed in 2007, with their first appearance at a private garden party, and although very rough around the edges, the future potential from George, Conor and Mikey's performance was already evident.
TR8R have seen some changes since then. When vocalist Ross decided to leave, auditions for a new vocalist began. Along came Clare Threadgold, but alas the magic combination was just not quite there. Further auditions in April 2008 saw Vicky stealing the hearts of the judging panel and the band members! Within a few weeks TR8R played their first gig with this current line-up at Bands Night at Chesham Park Community College.
As the band found their feet, their unique take on covers proved they had a lot more to give than just pure replication. They were desperate to start writing their own material and that’s exactly what they set about doing!
In July 2008 TR8R competed against 7 other local bands to win "Parkfest 08". As a result they were interviewed on Mix96 radio, and invited to play at "Fusion 08". During this time they also recorded their first demo including covers and their own material.
From here TR8R continued to play regularly in school competitions and concerts to begin, and by summer 09 they could be seen at a number of venues in the local area. They played at Aylesbury's two day festival "Hobble on the Cobbles" and were interviewed by Bucks TV, then "Fusion 09", and to round off a busy summer they headlined at ">The Result" where they launched their first EP.
Recent TR8R News
In 2009 TR8R returned to the studio to record a new demo, and later in the year they recorded their EP “NUMBERS”. A few days in Devon gave them the opportunity to shoot some of the “NUMBERS” video, with the remainder filmed back home in Chesham in the autumn.
TR8R are writing new material all the time and will be releasing an album in 2010, so look out for it!
